Newtown Rock Gold-Garvey just completed another highly successful season under the leadership of Head Coach Joe Garvey. The team finished the season with a record of 60 wins, 19 losses, and 3 ties for a winning pct of .750. The season was capped by the Rock’s 4th consecutive appearance at the PGF 18U Premier Nationals in Huntington Beach, CA, which is arguably the most prestigious National Championship Event featuring the best of the best 18U teams from across the country. Nine players on this year’s team have committed to D1 softball programs with scholarship dollars exceeding a total of $2.1 million.
Newtown Rock Gold prides itself on playing a highly competitive national schedule which included appearances at PGF 18U Premier Nationals in Huntington Beach, CA; Independence Day Tournament in Boulder, CO; Surf City Showcase in Huntington Beach, CA; Team New Jersey Summer and Fall Showcases in Edison, NJ; Diamond 9 Sun Classic at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, FL; Legendary Showcase in Virginia Beach, VA and the Pennsbury Invitational in Yardley, PA.
